Introduced to an unfamiliar saviour Turkey smallTWR Country Focus: Turkey

You probably have read some of the many stories we receive from listeners whose lives are changed when they stumble across a gospel broadcast while tuning their radios. About as often, however, we hear from people who discover Jesus Christ after being introduced to TWR programming by an acquaintance.

That’s the case with this 29-year-old woman in Turkey.

Quest for the Missing Radio Programmes

Quest for the missing radios Kenya SmallTWR Country Focus: Kenya

Thomas knew there was something really significant about those gospel programmes on the radio, and he wasn’t going to quit searching until he found them again.

Thomas (not his real name) had always enjoyed listening to Bible broadcasts as a boy in Kenya, but he lost touch with his radio mentor as he grew up and went off to college. Much later, he wrote TWR Kenya to tell of the lengthy quest that eventually achieved success.

A People Not Forgotten

A people not forgotten Vietnam SmallTWR Country Focus: Vietnam

Tucked away in the south-central coast of Vietnam is a small and solitary village where the Cham people live.

“[It] would be unnoticeable if God did not send someone to preach and to care for them,” said Danh, a listener of TWR’s Mini Bible College programme.

The Cham kingdom has reduced dramatically over the years, and according to the Joshua Project’s website, there are only approximately 85,000 Cham people in the world today, most of whom reside in Vietnam.

Healed by Grace India SmallTWR Country Focus: India

I come from a village that is part of a tribal community. The majority of the people in our community are addicted to alcohol, and it is very difficult for me, being a single mother (my husband died when my children were very young) with a very low income.

I come from a non-Christian background, and every two months, my late husband and I would sacrifice burnt offerings to the various gods we worshipped. I stopped this practice when he passed away. A few years later, I fell extremely ill and was bedridden.

Listener Encourages the Broadcasters

2 Listener Encourages the Broadcasters South Africa smallTWR Country Focus: South Africa

As you may have noticed in your own experience, letters that are short and sweet often communicate the most.

That’s the case with this simple but moving message from a listener in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal, which has a population of 11 million and is the home province of President Jacob Zuma. You can imagine how encouraged the programme producers and the rest of the broadcast staff felt when they read the writer’s thoughtful words.
