My name is Krishna. I live in Nepal, and I am 11 years old. When I was 6, I lost my father to illness. That was when the struggles in my family began. Initially, my mother really struggled to provide for us. However, she was soon able to give us a comfortable life – even though I did not know how.
Halim lives in Indonesia and makes his living by going on his rounds picking up discarded items and recycling them. Some call him a rag-and-bone man, while others label him a waste collector. On occasion, he even makes the effort to refurbish an item so that he can resell it at a better price. This is the only way he knows how to make a living.
