Leadership Development
Younger leaders often need encouragement to use their abilities as leaders. Resources for leadership training are scarce. Emerging leaders have few opportunities to follow experienced leaders as role models. The present generation of emerging leaders faces a very different world than the previous generations. Their unique needs are addressed by biblical guidelines for leadership to help them investing their energy into growing Christ-like communities.
Through their influence leaders in organisations, churches, businesses and institutions can transform their people. Leadership media programmes together with leadership development organisations can equip and mature leaders into developing a biblical understanding and experience of leadership. The leaders can also encourage and inspire each other towards maturing as leaders.
When leaders develop a Christ-like character with their intellect, emotion and relationships, they become equipped to grapple with the leadership issues of their communities. Authentic leaders would be essential in building a healthy integrated future. Ordinary Christians with a new identity in Christ and newly acquired leadership skills will be able to become leaders that have hope beyond their personal lives for growing a generation that impacts the wider society.
Leaders that understand biblical leadership and have appropriate practical skills are able to model leadership principles. With a life based on a compelling vision for the future, they can help move others forward towards a common goal. When leaders mature in community they can help each other to mature intellectually, spiritually, physically and morally. Such leadership communities for growth are nurtured through strong audience relations focus through social, visual and audio media.
The audio programme Tools for Wise Leadership equips leaders to lead wisely and leave a lasting legacy as benefit to future generations. This series is centred on three key leadership concepts. The first is the heart of a leader – meaning the character and passion that drive wise leadership. The second is head of a leader – that which the leader must know in order to lead effectively. The third are the hands of a leader – which describes the skills that the wise leader exercises. A person can be such a leader even when he or she do not yet have any leadership position. By applying the lessons in this leadership series leaders can serve God’s purpose in their generation.
The programme Thru the Bible offers a systematic study of the Bible to provide biblical teaching for listeners. Pastors use this teaching to equip themselves for their sermons in their congregations. This Thru the Bible series is available online at TWR360.
