Unreached People Groups
Christians have gone many places in Africa in the past 2,000 years taking the good news about Jesus. Unfortunately, hundreds of Unreached People Groups (UPGs) remain and many are in remote rural areas difficult to reach quickly. When UPGs are able to hear Scripture in their heart language, it can be very effective. Making disciples is even easier when UPGs are engaged with stories, songs, dramas and the other oral ways of sharing information that they have used for as long as their tribe has existed. Radio ministry helps overcome low functional literacy and offers millions of people better access to the Gospel.
Many African societies learn through memorized information passed from one generation to the next. No one is transformed by a truth they can't understand or remember but as God's Word is presented in oral formats, it becomes far more likely that unreached peoples will know the truth in a way that sets them free.
Because radio is the most important communication tool in most African countries, its role in presenting the gospel cannot be ignored.
