Women
Many African women face legal, economic and social constraints. They face inequality in education, work, health and within their families. About two-thirds of Africa’s illiterates are women. More than 90 million African women and girls are victims of female circumcision or other forms of genital mutilation.
In many countries women face a significant threat of violence and abuse and are often at higher risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. TWR’s programmes minister to women and offer love and hope through Jesus Christ.
- Project Hannah’s Women of Hope is popular in many countries.
- Project Hannah prayer groups meet regularly to intercede for women and their countries.
- Other women’s programmes include interviews, discussions and testimonies that instruct and encourage women.
